Originally hailing from the lower mainland of BC, Chris Brien is one of Alberta's fastest rising country acts. Brien delivers deep rugged vocals that are captivating with each note he sings, all while sharing a powerful performance that gets everyone on the dance floor. He's a blue collar working man, with inspirations and comparisons to notable acts such as, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson and George Strait.

Brien released his third single to radio, 'Back to Country,’ as of April 15th 2022. This honky-tonk tune taps into Brien's western roots and his love of classic country from yesteryear. So, shine your boots and put on your best Wranglers or Levi’s, because this song is sure to get you kicking up the dust and dancing. Written by Brien, Jesse Slack and Daryl Scott, it was produced by Johnny Gasparic at the award-winning MCC Recording Studio (Calgary).

Excited about the future Brien says, "I have always been drawn to the lifestyle that surrounds country music and I feel very fortunate to be a part of such an incredible community. I  feel like this is just the start of what I hope to be a long, successful career in the music industry. The best is certainly yet to come and I'd love for you to join in on the ride!"

Brien has a few singles under his belt that are all true examples of his enticing mix of modern and traditional country influences. ‘Saturdays Are For The Girl,' (July 2021) was his second release to radio and is a hard rocking, high energy tune with an underlying love story that took his career to a new level hot out the gate. It was named "Most Downloaded Country Singles in Canada," (July 29, 2021) on Yangaroo, a “Most Active Indie” on FYI Music (#6) and has accumulated over 70,000 streams. The single was added to Sirius XM CBC Country 171 as well as several other stations across Canada. 'One Sunrise at a Time' (January 2021), was his first radio release that turned a page in his career. Shifting from the lighthearted themes of previous releases, he successfully dove headfirst into more emotional and meaningful lyrics. The song was named a semi finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and was also nominated for a 2021 YYC Music Award for "Country Recording of the Year." In 2020, Brien released his first two singles, an upbeat cheeky summer anthem called, 'Booze Control,' (July) and his raw and dark, ear catching debut, 'Someone to Blame,' (April).

When Brien isn't hitting the stage or writing songs, you can find him in the rugged BC back country pursuing his passions. He's an avid outdoorsman, who never passes up an opportunity to hit the open road and take in Canada's fresh mountain air.
